How do I connect to Motlow State's wireless?
Motlow State provides all employees and students access to the wireless network. Follow the steps below to get connected.
Motlow State provides two main networks to connect to:
- Motlow State is for employees and students of the College as well as approved guests who have signed the Technical Operations' Computer Authorization Form.
- Motlow State Guest is for guests who are visiting the College.

Connecting to Motlow State
Windows & Mac
To connect to the Motlow State network, click on the network name on your device. After clicking, you will be prompted to log in.
Use the following format to log in:
- Username: MOTLOW\your-username
- Password: your password
Once filled out, click on OK or Join. You may receive another window similar to the following:
If you see this window, it is safe to click on Continue.
You should now be connected to the Motlow State network.
iOS
To connect to the Motlow State network, click on the network name on your device. After clicking, you will be prompted to log in.
Use the following format to log in:
- Username: MOTLOW\your-username
- Password: your password
Once filled out, click on Join. You may receive another window similar to the following:
If you see this window, it is safe to click on Trust.
You should now be connected to the Motlow State network.
Android / ChromeOS for Chromebooks
To connect to the Motlow State network, click on the network name on your device. After clicking, you will be prompted to log in.
Use the following format to log in. Note that you may not see every option listed here.
- EAP method: PEAP
- EAP Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
- Domain: MOTLOW
- Identity
- If your device asks for the Domain option above, Identity is your Motlow State username (i.e. jdoe0121)
- If your device does not ask for the Domain option above, Identity is MOTLOW\your_username (i.e. MOTLOW\jdoe0121)
- Anonymous identity: Leave blank
- Password: your password
- CA certificate: Don't validate
- Server CA certificate: Do not check
Once filled out, click on Connect.
You should now be connected to the Motlow State network.
Connecting to Motlow State Guest
To connect to the Motlow State Guest network, click on the network name on your device. After clicking, you will be redirected to a Sponsored Access Page.
You'll need to fill out the following information on the page:
- Sponsor's Email, the Motlow State Employee's email that will be responsible for approving your request to use the Motlow State Guest network.
- Your Email Address
- Your Name
- Phone Number
After completing the form, click on Register. Your Motlow State Sponsor will receive an email to approve or deny your access to the network. You will receive an email upon your Sponsor's approval to confirm your access to the Motlow State Guest network.
