Solidworks License checkout for off campus usage

So it is possible to check out licenses from the Solidworks server for use off campus.  This procedure will need to be done on campus before the laptops are taken off campus.

  1. Once logged in to the laptop, click the Start Menu (Windows logo in the bottom left corner) and scroll down until you find Solidworks Tools 2023 and click itUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Within that folder, you should see a program called SolidNetWork License Manager Client. Click on it to run itUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Once that program launches, click on the third tab from the left that says License BorrowingUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. On this screen, go to the section where it says Available Product Licenses and select any licenses needed to be checked outUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Next, find the section Borrow until and click it.  A calendar will open for you to select a date to check out the licenses until (30 days max)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. There is a maximum of 30 days that a license may be checked out at a time.  After that time, the user will have to use the section on the right that says Return and return the licenses to the server.  Then you can check the license out again for another 30 days.
