Forward Extension to an External Number

Follow these steps to customize your call handling settings to forward to an external phone number that isn't part of your Zoom account.

  1. Sign in to the Motlow HUB.
  2. Click the Zoom web portal icon.
  3. Click Phone.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. In the Business Hours or Closed Hours section, click Edit next to Call Handling
    Note: To edit call handling settings for Holiday Hours, click Manage next to Holiday List & Call Handling, select a holiday, then click Edit next to Call Handling.
  6. Click Add Phone Number to forward to an external phone number; for example, a personal phone number not part of Zoom Phone. You can also edit or delete existing external phone numbers.
    • Country/Region: Make sure to select the correct country/region in the drop-down menu so you can add the external phone number. Some countries share the same country code, but appear has separate entries in the drop-down menu.
    • Phone Number: Enter the area code and phone number of the external number. 
    • Description: Enter a description to help you identify the external number.
  7. Click Save.
  8. (Optional) Select the check box, Require to press 1 before connecting the call, if you want to require callers to press 1 before connecting to external phone numbers you've added above.
