Apple / Mac OS

  • MacOS 10.12 Sierra or higher
  • Intel 4th generation i7 quad-core or higher processor or 6th generation i5 dual-core or higher processor.
  • 8GB Ram (4GB may cause performance issues).
  • 128 GB SSD minimum (256-512GB or higher SSD Recommended). 

iPad / Apple iOS

The following devices support the latest iPadOS:

Please note for Zoom virtual backgrounds the following devices are supported: iPad Pro and the 5th and 6th generation iPad 9.7, iPad Air (Late 2020 Model). 

iPhone 8 / iPhone 8 Plus and newer devices support Zoom with Virtual Backgrounds for online learning. 

Google Chromebooks

At this time Google Chromebooks are not recommended. They may not work with Respondus Lockdown Browser. 

Android

The following Android hardware is supported with Zoom:

  • arm64 processor
  • 8 or more CPU cores
  • GPU
    • Qualcomm Adreno: 540 (Snapdragon 835 / Snapdragon SDM835), or later than 630(Snapdragon SDM845)
    • Mali: G series with version G72 or later; CPU must be later than exynos 9810, exynos 990, or kirin 980
  • 3GB or more RAM
  • Android 8.0 or higher
  • Only the following manufacturers are supported: Google, OnePlus, Oppo, Redmi, Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi, Huawei

Internet

The minimum recommended internet speeds are 3 Mbps download and upload for the Zoom meeting platform. Speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 5Mbps Upload are optimal for online learning.
